Fossil fish from the Alf collection
170,000 specimens strong, the fossil collection at the Alf Museum enriches humanity’s understanding of our past and points the way to the future. Fossils from the Mojave Desert document the origin of today’s horses, as well as their response to environmental change. A skeleton from southern Utah provided a first look at how the iconic plant-eating dinosaur Parasaurolophus grew up. Every fossil tells a story, if we listen carefully.
