Join your friends at the 24th Annual Peccary Society Dinner on Friday, October 21, 2016, as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the original peccary discovery. The evening will be a tribute to that serendipitous first trip, when curiosity, adventure and fate collided to spark a passion in Ray Alf that has impacted generations of students and community members ever since. To recognize work by fellow paleontologists with Ray’s passion, the second Raymond M. Alf Excellence in Paleontological Research and Education Award will be bestowed that evening. There is much to celebrate, and our board chairman, R. Larry Ashton ’70, will lead us in the festivities. We will gather for a cocktail reception on the museum’s front steps at 5:30, followed by a delicious dinner on Webb’s lower field.
Proceeds from this event are the primary source of funding for our operating budget, and allow us to offer unparalleled field and research experiences to students. It is a program unlike any other, only possible through your generous support. You can contact Harason Horowitz ’02, Director of Development, for more information about tickets and sponsorship levels. Single tickets are $150, and table sponsorships range from $750 to $15,000. We are honored by the dedication of the Peccary Society and look forward to seeing you at the event.
