Classroom Science Connections
Programs for Grades One to Four

Please note:
Due to the hands-on nature of the Classroom Science Connections activities, we cannot provide these programs to multi-class groups.  Therefore, we have created the Great Science Connections programs which can better accommodate large numbers of students.  These multiple class programs are very similar to the other Classroom Science Connections programs but lack the activities component.  They do, however, include the opportunity for each student to get up close and touch fossils.

Fascinating Fossils

This program focuses on the basics of paleontology - what fossils are, the types of fossils, and what fossils can tell us about ancient life.  Computer animation accompanies the program's discussion.  Students handle fossils (both real and replicas) and then make their own "fossils" (impressions & tracks) to illustrate the major types of fossils that paleontologists study.

Dynamic Dinos

This program focuses on dinosaurs, their lifestyles & life in the Mesozoic.  Computer animation accompanies the program's discussion.  Students handle dinosaur and other Mesozoic fossils (both real and replicas) and then use various fossils to interpret the lifestyles of the extinct animals' they represent.
